Loveday trip

Please come and join us at Loveday 4WD Adventure Park.
BYO food & beverages of choice.
Loveday 4x4 Park is open and has awesome beach camps along the river. We will be taking the Ski boat
and making full use of the river , this year.
Bring your canoes and boats and enjoy exploring the river. Loveday has campsites available at the waters
edge and the 4wd tracks are open. What more could we need. This will be a relaxing few days with NO
planned ititnery.
The Park has fully functional toilets for both men and women, located at the rear of the Tavern. We also have
hot showers for just a gold coin donation.
As a privately owned property we ask all visitors to respect the environment and clean up after themselves.
If you are camping and require fire wood, we ask you to please visit the tavern and purchase wood, or bring
your own from home. Loveday comes under the River Murray Environmental Protection act, which means
it’s illegal for us and any persons to collect or burn wood from the property. We at Loveday believe it's part
of the camping experience to be able to sit around a camp fire at night. We buy loads of wood in from
outside the area for campers to be able to purchase and enjoy the camping life.
Collecting fire wood is STRICTLY PROHIBITED

Sunset Murray.

**  SAND FLAGS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS TRIP  **
This trip is being used as a training excersie for the up and coming High Country Trip.  You will need to be able to cover 900Kms without a fuel stop and carry everything that you need for the weekend on you, on the go.  Exactly the same as if we were doing the High Country Trip.  The track will be sandy and labouring but no way near as hard as the High Country, so this trip should make everybody aware of what they can do and what they cant.  We need to treat it as a practice run for our up and coming High Country Trip. We will top up at Mannum before leaving civilization and you will not see a fuel station until we return to Mannum, 900kms later.  You will need to carry fuel to cover the whole trip.

Friday Night 14th - Night drive from Mt Pleasant Oval to Pheenys Track Entrance, to the Border Track, where we head to a little camp area, just in 500 metres, off Pheeny's Track.

Saturday 15th - First up we will travel down the top half of the Border Track and then across the Sunset Marray National park to Mt Crozier Camp ground for the Saturday Nights camp.

Sunday 12th - Depart Mt Crozier camp ground and head for Adelaide, via the Pheenys track to the Border track and onto Peebunga where we can air up and head back to Purana and back home via the Goodooloo road through to Mannum where we can refuel and head back home .

There will be 2 single overnight camps.
No Caravans/Campervans. Off-road camper trailers should be ok if they are not too tall.  This is a Mallee area and the trees are not tall, but they can cover the track.  High vehicles may have to dodge the trees.  We have many miles to cover and wont have time for manuervoring caravans through this trip in the same way that we will not being doing it for people travelling with us on the Simpson Trip.  Firewood is scarce to none, so if everyone could at least bring some firewood this will ensure we have a nice fire each night.
No dogs allowed as we will be in National Parks.

Bendleyby Ranges

You will need to be self-sufficient.

We are heading directly to Bendleby Ranges on the Friday night. It would be a good idea to carry some extra fuel as a back-up if you have a small fuel tank or your vehicle uses a lot of fuel. Last stop for Gas is available at Orroroo Pro Motors open 24 hours by Card Only.

We have organised a camp site that is secluded, shaded and in a natural setting. Hot showers and toilets are available close to the shearing shed.
There is a fire ring and long drop toilet at each remote campsite.
We are able to have a fire except on Total Fire Ban days.

It is requested that the fire either be manned or completely extinguished while we are 4wding around Bendleby.
Our camp site is accessible for caravans and campervans so you are welcome to bring them along.

For more information, please contact the trip coordinator via email trip@dirtydeeds4x4clubsa.com.

Bri Glen Springs

Bri-Glen Springs has been around for many years, Gawler and Districts 4WD Club has been going there since before 2010.  It is a very similar place to Terrowie but it has more history and old sites to see.  Terrowie is literally only 22Kms around the corner.
Bri-Glen  is  a  property  just  south  of  Terowie,  around  5000  acres  in total size. The owner, Brian Sambell, has offered us the use of a 355 acre fenced area.  The enclosure joins a large creek (Wonna) and a nature reserve, which is leased by the property owners.  We  would  also  have  access  to  drive  the  many  other  4WD tracks on the Bri-Glen property.  This is an awesome opportunity to gain access to another large piece of land for the use of four wheel driving.

Self-sufficient camping so bring your own food and water as well as your own chemical toilet.  All persons staying on the property must be self sufficient with their own port-a-potty.

BYO food & beverages of choice.

For more information, please contact the trip coordinator via email trip@dirtydeeds4x4clubsa.com.

Terowie

The Club has not been to Terowie for a while.   It is being managed differently now.  It will take approx 2 hours travel time to Terowie with pee stops. Its approx half an hour of driving to Terowie 4wd Park from Terowie BP Service Station.

Terowie 4wd park has all natural terrain driving including dry creek beds / mountains for all skill levels. We recommend all vehicles to have low range.
High clearance is a bonus for some of the tracks and obstacles but not essential.

You must be self sufficient, as they only have long drops there.  Please bring some firewood to share.
We will leave Terowie 4wd Park around lunch time Sunday.
BYO food & beverages of choice.

For more information, please contact the trip coordinator via email trip@dirtydeeds4x4clubsa.com.
